Masculine bisexual
Being a Bi Man Isnt About Being a "Masculine" Fantasy
Ive been volunteering for booths at Pride festivals in various cities now for several years. Its enjoyable, rewarding, and I love doing it. Bi people, being the majority of the LGBT community, are nevertheless woefully and shamefully underrepresented at most, if not all, prides. So, its wonderful to see the faces of the thousands of bi people who visit our booth, delighted to see themselves represented at their local pride festival.
In addition to giving away tons of sweet bi prizes, including our fun "Bi Kisses", the booth welcomes visitors to "Ask a Bi Person". There are a lot of misconceptions out there about bi people, so it is a meaningful opportunity to set the record straight (so to speak) one visitor at a time. Not every scrutinize we get asked is polite. Some are outright hostile. And some, while well-intentioned, demonstrate an unintentional lack of sensitivity, as well as a lack of understanding. But, hey, thats why were here: to address these issues. So, I try not to take o
Bisexual men are perceived as more masculine-sounding than straight men, learn finds
Bisexual men are more masculine-sounding than both straight and gay men, a new study has claimed.
Researchers from the University of Sydney asked 70 Australians to guess the sexuality and rank the 'femininity' of 60 men reciting lines of the national anthem.
While participants could distinguish between gay and straight men's voices with 62 per cent accuracy, they often struggled to identify bisexual men.
'Naïve listeners can distinguish the voices of gay and straight men at rates greater than chance rates, although this was not the case for bisexual men,' the authors wrote.
'Along with the finding that bisexual men were judged to be the most exclusively female attracted, they were also judged to be the most masculine.

'These findings provide further support that perceptions of male vocal masculinity and heterosexuality go hand-in-hand regardless of the speaker’s sexual orie
Previous research has established that people can tell, more often than not, whether a man is gay or straight from his voice alone. This ability to identify gay men from their voice has been dubbed “gaydar”—that is, a kind of radar for detecting gayness.
Gaydar
The reason why the voices of gay men tend to be distinct from those of straight men has been widely debated. Since we know that sexual orientation is due to the way that the brain was formed during prenatal development, it may be the case that these brain differences also lead to vocal patterns and behavioral mannerisms that are typically gay.
Other psychologists, though, contend that the “gay voice” comes from social learning. As men interact with the gay community, they pick up ways of speaking and acting that signal membership in the group. After all, we all understand to adjust the way we talk and behave according to the standards of the various groups we belong to.
Whether the gay voice is due to nature or nurture, it’s also the case that gay men no longer have to cloak their identity. This is because society has becom
Masculine bisexual men in fiction and popular culture?

This season of Game of Thrones introduced what I consider may be the first prominent out bisexual male character in popular culture who presents as traditionally masculine. There's also some closeted heteroflexibility in one episode of House of Cards (Spoiler), but aside from these two instances, I am having a difficult time coming up with examples of masculine bisexual men in contemporary fiction and pop culture. It seems like typically bisexuality in men is portrayed as automatically feminizing. Can anyone help me list or verb other examples (including famous men and fictional characters) who are both openly bi and also have a presence that would be seen as masculine by traditional standards?
