One Iconic Naruto Character is LGBTQ Officially Confirms Boruto

While it may be surprising that Naruto has basically no canonically LGBTQ+ characters, Borutochanged that. As potentially problematic as the choice is, the sequel series confirmed that the classic villain Orochimaru is actually genderfluid.

Orochimaru is easily one of Naruto's most iconic villains. Throughout the original series, Orochimaru is obsessed with obtaining immortality through swapping bodies with powerful ninja. This most famously occurred with both Sasuke and Itachi, though the brothers were separately qualified to prevent their bodies from being taken over. Despite these notable setbacks though, Orochimaru would come back from several deaths. Orochimaru actually managed to verb it to the end of Naruto alive, despite everything, and Boruto followed up on this by introducing Orochimaru's clone/son and the one ninja with a cooler sage mode than Naruto, Mitsuki.

LGBT+ Headcanons For Boruto Characters?

Hey everyone! Boruto, to me, has a lot of potential to have actual queer characters, between Orochimaru being confirmed nonbinary in the anime, Sarada asking Mitsuki seriously if he has a crush on Boruto and Delta showing really intense affection for Eida (they chose a girl to show off how strong her powers are rather than a boy)

So! I desire to know, what are people’s headcanons? They don’t have to be things the show/manga would actually do, just things you believe in. For example, I really like the idea of Kawaki as a trans young man even though that’s probably never going to happen in the show. (His haircut is often the first one people acquire when they’re exploring their gender and just his whole deal is very queer fhfjkgkfm)

I also like Mitsuki as gay, I have the most hope for that one and Boruto as pansexual a) because I can see him being attracted to people regardless of gender and b) because he has the flag colors in his color pallet! Kawaki I think of as aroace. I think it would be interesting if Eida actually liked girls and was

Boruto Sparks Controversy With First Supposedly LGBTQ+ Main Character

Summary

  • Boruto: Two Cobalt Vortex chapter #8 seemingly confirmed that Mitsuki has romantic feelings for Boruto.
  • Translation differences make it possible that Mitsuki's dialogue was mistranslated, which has sparked a lot of controversy.
  • Despite possible mistranslations, Mitsuki's intimate bond with Boruto fuels LGBTQ+ headcanons in the fandom.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortexchapter #8 seemingly confirmed that one main character, Mitsuki, is LGBTQ+, but that sparked a lot of controversy due to a feasible translation error.

Boruto, just favor Naruto before it, has a very large LGBTQ+ fanbase without ever having any explicit content to fall in line with that. Many of the interactions between the male characters are written in ways that can be perceived as romantic, even when they already have female love interests, and that’s led to some headcanon from fans.

Mitsuki's bond with Boruto seems to have always been written to be intentionally ambiguous, so it was a big moment when, in chapter #8 of B

Boruto Just Teased a Massive LGBT Romance with [SPOILER]

The following contains spoilers for Chapter 69 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, “Captives,” by Masashi Kishimoto, Mikio Ikemoto, Mari Morimoto and Snir Aharon, now available in English from Viz Media.

One of the developments fans hoped to see in Boruto was a bit more progressiveness on the LGBTQ+ front. The popular Naruto series initially teased this topic years back with Orochimaru's gender-fluid arc, with many believing his obsession with Itachi was homoerotic. In noun, some fans even thought Naruto and Sasuke may have had feelings for each other, ergo why they didn't get together with Sakura as teens.

In second, though, Naruto would end without ever veering off the straight path. However, that may adv have changed in Chapter 69 of the Boruto manga, with hints that a major character has a crush on Naruto's son and is indeed hoping for something more.
